PROGRAM INFORMATION
1. Program Completion Time The minimum completion time is 12 months and the maximum is 3 years.
2. Class Hours Approximate hours of face to face contact in the classroom setting for each unit is 36-40 hours approx (except MIIT project) per unit for 8 units. This includes lectures, workshops tutorial / examination review and case analysis/discussion.
3. Assessment Assessment for each subject is by a combination of examination and assignment. A student may re-sit for a failed subject once subject to a examination re-sit unit fee. Any additional re-sit is only subject to discretion of the University.
Examinations are conducted normally at the end of each term at ABRS.
4. Course Schedule Normally 2 units to be completed in a three month term.

MIIT - Accredited industrial training courses may take place in certain accredited training vendors' location.
Venues are located within 5 minutes walking distance of Wanchai MTR station.
6. Course Tutors Normally Half of the units are conducted by visiting University tutors and half by approved local / guest speakers (typically with over 5 years tertiary / Master level teaching experience and over 15 professional experience).
7. MIIT Industry Project An industry company based project to be approved by ABRS/UOW and your employer/sponsor
8. eLearning Support A new mode of study with off-line or real time interactive participation is available for the intensive courses for travelling students.
Admission Requirement
A good undergraduate degree from a recognised university in IT or related fields. Normally two years' technical work experience is expected for MIIT, and 1 year's management/supervisory experience is required for MITM.
Professional Experience Entry: Higher Diploma in IT holders with strong industrial experience (minimum 5 years) may enrol subject to assessment by the head of the school and ABRS.

@ Official Project Registration is normally accepted at end of 12 months coursework, fee payable within 30 days of before project commencement.
Payment Remarks:
1. Tuition Fee for each term is payable within 30 days of commencement of each term or (registration of project for MIIT Industrial Project) and should be paid by specified due date normally 2 weeks prior to term commencement.
2. Fees for MIIT training components include approved industry training courses plus internal end-of-training assessment
3. # Payment for MIIT may be made by two instalment per term, plus $100 admin fee and the second instalment payable 30 days after specified first payment due date.
Study Loan Plan / Financial Support:
i) Study loan plan by 12 to 48 monthly instalment is available from supporting banks: Bank of America, Bank of East Asia. The programme will also be eligible for Government Study Loan
Credit Transfer & Exemption:
Processing Fee for Credit Transfer & Exemption: Nil for application made prior to course commencement, HK$500 per subject for each subsequent application. Upon approval of credit transfer / exemption, the applicable semester's tuition fee will be reduced by HK$6,000 per each subject approved.
Refund Condition:
Application fee HK$300 is NOT refundable. A refund of fee paid for the coming semester less HK$1,000 will be made if the applicant informs ABRS at least 7 days prior to program / semester commencement and shows that unforeseen circumstances outside his / her control shall render him/her unable to effectively participate in the program in the forthcoming semester. No refund, other than circumstances on compassionate grounds, will be made after 7 days prior to program / semester commencement.(remarks: please refer to course commencement information package for additional refund policy on compassionate grounds)
Deferral
Students may apply for deferral of study (with HK$500 administration fee) subject to approval of ABRS and the University for acceptable unforeseen circumstances with proof. On resumption of study, students may take the deferred subject (or portion of subject) at no cost, or with additional surcharge to cover any increase in tuition fee.
FURTHER INFORMATION
PC and Internet Access
All candidates should be familiar with the use of PC applications (word processing, spreadsheet and graphics presentation), have internet knowledge and MUST have one Internet account.
Exemption / Prior Credits
MITM: A maximum of 2 subjects EXEMPTION may be granted for prior study at postgraduate level.
MIIT: Candidates with prior training and certification may also apply on CREIDT FULFILMENT basis (ie. Fulfilment of credit on entry). This enables you to achieve credit on entry and choose to undertake additional industry training without assessment requirement.
Candidates without Degree in related fields
A six months Graduate Conversion program is available for degree holders in other fields with some technical background who want to proceed to MIIT master degree - This consist of a 3 months certificate and 3 months IT training prior to commencement of formal Master degree study.
Web Support & eLearning for Travellers
Web Support is available from UOW and ABRS. This includes reference materials, on-line journal, students chat, course administration web. Internet eLearning option / recorded sessions are available for travelers to attend some of the intensive classes should they are not able to attend due to business travel commitment.
Specialist MIIT
You may concentrate in a number of specialist subjects eCommerce, Software Engineering, Enterprise Network and graduate with a specialized degree subject to demand and availability of subjects.
