Course Objectives < 課 程 目 標  > ：  This 4 – 6 months programme provides an integrated business management training at a Mini-EMBA level, with a focus for experienced managers, SME owners  and other entrepreneurs to acquire a broad spectrum of management with China context, as well as China Business Practices.

Who Should Attend < 學 習 對 象 > It is targeted at experienced business managers, SME owners and entrepreneurs who wish to accelerate both their management skills and visions as well as their network and expertise in China business. Significant networking and experience sharing with peers from HK/Taiwan/Overseas as well as mainland entrepreneurs and senior managers are emphasised.

Part One – Advanced China Business Programme (中 國 商 貿 管 理 實 務):

Part Two – SCUT Mini-EMBA/MBA Residential Camp (華 南 理 工 大 學 商 學 院 學 習 交 流 營):

Four Days Residential Study at SCUT-SBA main campus (over 2 weekend trips) on:

• Strategic Management

 Plus seminars/lectures from SCUT in:

• Marketing Strategy in China

• Multinational Corporations Business in China

• Leadership and People Management in China

A Saturday Networking seminar with SCUT EMBA/MBA class members are arranged in each residency

Part Three – Mini-MBA Business Start-up Strategy and Case Seminars / Project (內 地 市 場 業 務 個 案 交 流 及 項 目 報 告):

Individual or group presentation / exchange on a selected topics related to China business such as: market entry, HR, business establishment and operation issues for HK/Foreign Enterprises / SMEs﹕

The cases will be moderated by / shared with :

Ø      Guest Speakers with experienced China experience

Ø      Commercial Associations Representatives (HK/China)

Ø      Consultants and Professors

At the end, the student will have to submit a company / industry based business project (12 hrs equivalent practical business research / plan plus presentation and summary report) of no less than 3,000 words equivalent (or 6,000 in Chinese)

Completion Award < 結 業 證 明 > :

A Mini-MBA Certificate  (with assessment) will be awarded upon end of course for those who have successfully complete the assignment and with over 75% attendance. A Certificate of Attendance  will be awarded for those who have achieved over 75% attendance.

Certificate will be awarded by SCUT School of Business Administration in association with ABRS . (* candidates with over 8 years acceptable business/management experience acceptable per SCUT EMBA entry requirement will be awarded a mini-EMBA certificate)

Remarks:

1. Company may send delegates to attend different stage / module of the programme (in which case, the certificate will be awarded to the company, or individual by stage)

2. We will facilitate the CEF fund (Continuing Education Fund) or SME fund (Small and Medium Size company of total employee below 50 for non-manufacturing, or below 100 for manufacturing) fund application,  the final approval is subject to relevant government bureau.

The program is based on a series of well structured lectures, seminars and workshops. Each module’s assessment consists of an assignment and either a test or  case analysis.
